All articles submitted for review by ALFA Journal are inspected under a disciplined anti-plagiarism policy that ensures their originality. To this end, texts are analyzed using Viper 's  HYPERLINK "https://plag.co/" anti-plagiarism service to search for matches between texts and information from other authors, thus respecting the rights of other authors and ensuring that the works are unpublished and meet the editorial quality standards that guarantee our own scientific production.

As a publication that strives for international excellence, ALFA Journal is inspired by the Code of Ethics of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), addressed to editors, reviewers, and authors.

Authors' Responsibilities

The authors of articles submitted to ALFA certify that the work is original and unpublished, and that it does not contain excerpts from other authors or from previously published works. They also confirm the data authenticity, and that it has not been altered.

The author should not publish articles that repeat the same results in more than one scientific journal or other academic or other publication. Submitting the same work to multiple scientific journals simultaneously is considered ethically incorrect and reprehensible.

The author must always provide correct indication of the sources and contributions mentioned in the article.

The authors guarantee the inclusion of individuals who have contributed scientifically and intellectually to the conceptualization and work planning, as well as to the interpretation of the results and its writing. At the same time, the authors are listed in order according to their level of responsibility and involvement.

If the Editorial Board deems it appropriate, authors of articles should also make available the sources or data on which the research is based, which may be retained for a reasonable period of time after publication and possibly made accessible.

All authors are required to explicitly declare that there are no conflicts of interest that could have influenced the results obtained or the proposed interpretations. Authors must also disclose any funding from agencies and/or projects that support the research article.

When an author identifies an error in their article, they must immediately inform the journal's editors and provide all necessary information to make the appropriate corrections. The authors are the only responsible for the content of articles published in ALFA Journal.

Reviewers' Commitments

Peer review is a procedure that assists editors in making decisions on proposed articles and also allows authors to improve the articles quality submitted for publication. Reviewers undertake to conduct a critical, honest, constructive, and unbiased review of both the scientific and literary quality of the work in their field of knowledge and expertise.

  • Any reviewer who does not feel competent in the subject matter to be reviewed or who cannot complete the evaluation within the scheduled timeframe must notify the editors immediately. Reviewers undertake to evaluate papers as quickly as possible to meet deadlines, due to the fact that ALFA’s storage limits for pending manuscripts are limited and inflexible out of respect for the authors and their work.
  • Each assigned manuscript must be considered confidential. Therefore, these texts should not be discussed with others without the editors' express consent. Uncontested.
  • Peer review must be conducted objectively. Reviewers are required to provide sufficient reasons for each of their assessments, always using the review template. Reviewers must submit a complete critical report with appropriate references according to the ALFA review protocol and public guidelines for reviewers, especially if the work is proposed for rejection. They are required to inform the editors if significant parts of the work have already been published or are under review for another publication.
  • Reviewers undertake to accurately reference key works that the author may have overlooked. Reviewers should also inform the editors of any similarities or overlaps between the manuscript and other published works.
  • To ensure the review process is as objective, impartial, and transparent as possible, the authors' identities are removed before submission for peer review. If, for any reason, the authors' identities, institutional affiliations, or any other information that exposes the document anonymity has been compromised, the reviewer must immediately notify the editors.
