Organic acids such as acetic acid help improve digestion and food intake, prevent diarrhea and inhibit the growth of pathogens. Therefore, it is intend to know what are the positive effects and advantages of using acetic acid as a probiotic in productive indicators in chicken fattening, and in the intestinal tract. Scientific articles were use as sources where 45 were select from databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. The search equation was acetic acid + probiotics + chicken fattening + intestine + intestinal microbiota. 20 scientific articles were selected, 70% in English and 30% in Spanish, indexed in 47.06 and 35.29% of the journals in SCOPUS and WEB SCIENCE, as main advantages of acetic acid can increase feed palatability, feed conversion, reduce mortality and better intestinal health. The results highlight that the addition of acetic acid in feed increases body weight and feed efficiency, and consequently improves the production of Cobb 500 chickens.
